I'm so glad you're here. XO
You're probably wondering, "What's the Free Nurse Project?"
First, let me tell you a little story about my journey to becoming a freelance nurse writer...
After earning my nursing degree and working as an inpatient child psychiatric nurse, I decided to become an at-home mom after our first daughter was born.
Before long, I was knee-deep in diapers and laundry...
Oh, how I longed to be able to use my brain, too.
Maybe you can relate...
Don't get me wrong...
I loved being home with our littles, but I yearned for a way to use my nursing knowledge and experience in a meaningful way to help others.
I missed bedside nursing...
But I remembered that feeling of being too drained to do anything after long shifts and tirelessly caring for patients...
I've always loved writing, so I decided to research ways that I could combine that with my nursing experience.
In nursing school, my grandfather had always lovingly read my papers.
Before he passed away, just a few months shy of my graduation, he told me, "You should consider writing in your nursing career. I think you'd find it fulfilling."
Fast forward several years later, I decided to become a nurse writer...
And it has literally changed my life.
Now I can be there when the kids come home from school and make them a healthy snack...
As someone who lives with chronic health conditions, I can find time for self-care.
I finally feel fulfilled having a successful career and being my own boss.
I can make my own hours.
I feel like I'm making a real difference in the world through my writing.
I feel amazed everyday at how many opportunities we have as nurse writers.
This career is not only changing our lives....
But also the lives of others.
I know what it feels like to be so burned out...
You probably got into nursing because you wanted to help people, but you might wonder...."at what cost to my health and well-being, my family, etc.?"
I see you and want to help you get to a better place.
That's why I decided to become a nurse writer mentor and coach to teach nurses like you the ropes.
I want to show you exactly how I got here and what steps you need to take.

Waking up and being able to relax with a cup of coffee or tea...
Getting the kids off to school successfully without rushing or tears...
Taking your pup for a walk...
Throwing in a load of laundry...
ALL before finally sitting down at your kitchen table or in your home office and feeling excited to start your day...
(Working WAY less hours than before, AND earning more)
You begin writing about topics you are passionate about and it feels unbelievable...
Your clients tell you, "Thank you -- this writing project looks amazing!"
You feel appreciated and fulfilled, doing something you truly love.
You are making a difference in the world when you teach your readers how to take better care of their health...
Or how to prepare for a surgical procedure...
You are educating them about ways to reduce the risk of illness...
Hospital systems and insurance companies value you and the content you write about their services.
Imagine beaming with gratitude when you see your author name and picture listed in magazines and newspapers.

You are valuable and knowledgeable as a nurse...clients see this and will pay good money for you to write for them.
The healthcare and wellness industry needs nurse writers like you to get better results...
